I think it's because your DOF is really narrow. 1.8 does not allow much of the image to be tack sharp. It takes a lot of practice. Have you even given back button focusing a try? i would encourage you to try it. Darling hats, especially the trapper one in #2-my personal favorite kinds of hats.
These are beautiful! Maybe your focus issue is because your using f/3.2. You'd have more depth of focus with a smaller aperture, like f/5.6. Just a thought. . .
OK, wait...I just noticed that it was 3.2 you took these at. Make sure the eyes are on the same plane, that will make it a bit easier to get each one in focus. Personally, as long as the eye closest to me is in focus, it does not bother me.
Heather alrady covered it I think! But I recently learned the same thing. I try to focus on the eye closest to me, and keep it at f/2.8 or f/3.2 with my girls. Really cute shots and hats!
She looks adorable. I think everyone already covered your focus issue. I struggle so much with good focus on people indoors because when I try to up my aperture I often get camera shake with the slower shutter speed because my hands are so unsteady.
Shawna, These are just adorable! I have not yet tried the cinnamon buns yet! Its definitley on my list though. Today, im cooking her chicken spaghetti. I will let you know how it is. ;)
